A strange day like no other,
Heaven mourns,
Over his finest son,
But earth rejoices.
Bashed, bitten bruised
Is our saviour,
We knew him not,
We needed him not,
Until we saw him crucified.
We cried, we mourned.
A painful day like no other,
Long walk to Golgotha,
Thorns of crown, and blood shed.
We watched him bruised,
Hapless and hopeless,
Tears filled our heart,
Seeing our failure,
We cried, we mourned.
A defining moment like no other,
At the cross of Christ,
Its where Heaven and earth meets,
Where all Sins were erased
Heaven beckon hopes,
We smiled again, we hope again
We lived again and we cried again.
It was no-ordinary day,
It was a good Friday.
