Like the joy of the spoils of war, I giggle uncontrollably at the thoughts in my head. On my sofa, thoughts that some great- great gran have left an estate worth millions of pounds fills me head each time I watch the heir hunters show on BBC One.
Re-assuredly, I dreamt of the day Fraser & Fraser will knock on me door. Many have been contacted with estate worth thousands of pounds, or in some cases millions. Honestly, I like the million part. A million pound estate left for me! Eeey!! Eeey! Eeey!!
Please don’t blame me, slow economic recovery, fears of financial meltdown, job cuts and low spending calls for scares.
As I await Fraser & Fraser, tears filled my upturned face when I remember what Jesus said,” In my Father’s house are many mansions, If it were not so, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you”, John 14 vs. 2.
Though I may have nowhere to lay my head, though a great gran may not leave a million pound estate for me, I know Jesus did. Though me earthly house be destroyed, or wander like a lost sheep, though I may wake up some days understanding me purpose, and other times I don’t, though God may be silent as I cried Abba Father, and cringe at a better me I should have become, I know there is hope for me.
Jesus didn’t lie to me. He meant those words. He has gone to prepare a glorious mansion for me. Mansion of joy, peace, love and perfect rest.
Though my present earthly predicament hurts so deep, and doesn’t match me expectations, though I may wander and not understand His plans for me, though head’s situation may becloud heart’s decision, I take full and sufficient comfort in His love and promises that never fails. My one desire Lord, to dwell in your house and inquire of you always.
There is hope for me. There is hope for me.
