Here Comes Heaven's Finest son...

Its come and gone, that wonderful chrismas season, but not without some take home thoughts. That season a saviour of the world was born. That season Heaven beckon on humanity with a glimpse of hope. That season Heaven beloved son left all His marvellous splendour that we all could be the righteousness of God. That season love stood in our defence to give a second chance. It was a season Heaven is finest son in His majesty deemed it fit to come in flesh and bore our sins. His pains became our gains. What a lifeline!
As I relish in the euphoria of the season, I watched with pleasure how one family prepared for the festive season in splendid grandeur. Everything was perfect from the Christmas tree to decorations, cute and colourful lightings to match. The sumptuous meal so tantalising, table well set, BBQ’s, wine, gardens trees well decorated in expectation of their families and friends to come round. Somewhere along the TV documentary, my mind swayed(it always does) and am like how I wish this great family will just cap this cute Christmas moment up by also opening the doors of their heart for JESU to come round as well. Am not sure sweet JESUS was invited. How sad!
It reminds me of Mary and Martha. One turned Heaven’s finest son into an information desk for the spirit and soul, the other turned it to a kitchen desk to feed the body. Afterall, the saviour has to eat. Two sisters, two choices, the same situation, but Mary chooses the urgent, Martha choose the important.

Waitaminute! How easy is it to see others goof but not ours. Recounting the whole moment as I paused to do a stop and search session. I thought how possibly I could have made much success of 2009 if I had given heed to what is urgent more than what is important. I found out that what is urgent is urgent. What is urgent is important. What is important may not be urgent.

I thought I had it all together until my finance was hit by some tsunami (not too good planning skills on my part), but now I know better. Personal development did not suffer, as I recognised why I needed to move ahead. Above all, what is urgent and important? Spiritual development .It went through stormy waters but His grace kept it all together. Making Jesus known (evangelism) as I recount the whole year did not enjoy much until lately. God’s heartbeat (the urgent) suffered at the expense of my daily activities which in itself was not a bad thing but gained more priority.
I thought it through the best gift I can give this Christmas and New Year is prayer for those who think they do not need Jesus in their lives, because it is this attitude of self-sufficiency that keeps people from Christ. That their eyes may see their most urgent need, their utter weakness and what gift of salvation they have in Christ Jesus when they open the door of their hearts for He stands at the door in rain and sunshine.

Like Mary and Martha, urgent and important are two words have taken with me into 2010 by His grace. Through it all, in laughter and in pain, thick and thin, have learnt a lot about God’s faithfulness, I make bold to say am a recipient of His marvellous goodness. Till I see you around...always remember God has not and will never give up on you.

I tot of u now & always

Welcome to 2010.
