She’s DIVORCED! (Translation: She has a lot of baggage, her 5th break-up and still counting)
Ssssssshh! She’s a SLATTERN (Translation: she can’t just say no).
So sad how people who don’t know where we coming from, what we’ve been through calls us negative names. How come the only thing they saw was our past, and not our daily struggle to live right, be clean and beat our inner demon.
Like Rahab in the bible, they have called us names. The pain is deep, the stings of old regrets still haunt us, but I believe there is more to us. A better us. We may not have been wise with our body but when it comes to our soul needing divine help, we are way wiser than them. This is the reason I chose to write you my dearest friend.
We did what Rahab did. Please do the same. Go to God. She heard about the God of Israel. She trusted Him, and not her ability to rehabilitate herself. She wasn’t about to fight God because she knew it’s a fight she can’t win. She surrendered all to God.
Likewise you, your path to victory is in surrendering all to God, trusting Him to lead you to victory through His son JESUS. If only you will stop “running the show”, and turn to JESUS CHRIST, He will take your hands, help you walk tall, become clean and whole again. God has a great future for Rahab, so also you. Check this out: for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not bad, to give you a future and a hope.
Go to God today, tell Him how you feel. He has made provision for you that if you confess your sins; He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness’ (1John 1:9).
Go to Him now, will you?
